SOS Children Villages Israel is a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding children and youth without parental care who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or violence and to provide them with long-term care in a stable, nurturing environment. We provide children ages 6 to 18 with a warm and loving familial setting where all their everyday needs are fulfilled, and they develop emotional and social skills to reach their full potential. Our children grow with a feeling of belonging; they become siblings who form a family for life. We work with young adults to develop their skills for academic success and job readiness, as well as the ability to be financially independent and to become positive members of society. In addition, SOS Children Villages Israel is committed to supporting vulnerable and underserved at-risk families and communities to reduce the incidence of abuse and neglect and create a safer, more wholesome environment for the children. Furthermore, we run an emergency shelter that cares for children (from age 4) who had to be urgently taken out of their homes, and there haven't found a permanent solution for them yet.
