Objectives of this role BlueGreen Water Technologies is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This seasoned strategist will not only understand current accounting practices and trends but also will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's long-term financial strategy, supporting global growth, leading fundraising initiatives, managing investor relations, and ensuring the company is financially positioned for its next stage of expansion. The ideal candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, bringing the agility to navigate change, the strategic vision to support rapid growth, and the operational discipline to build a scalable, best-in-class finance organization. Beyond strategic leadership, we are looking for a hands-on executive who enjoys building organizations, establishing scalable financial processes, implementing strong governance and controls, and developing a high-performing finance function that will support the company's continued global expansion. Responsibilities: Executive & Strategic Leadership Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors. Develop and execute the company's long-term financial strategy aligned with business objectives and global growth plans. Budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. Translate business strategy into financial plans, investment priorities, and measurable business outcomes. Support the company's global growth strategy and international expansion initiatives. Partner with business leaders to define financial priorities and support strategic decision-making. Develop executive KPIs, financial dashboards, and performance metrics to drive business performance. Provide the CEO ongoing on time financial report insights, strategic analyses, and recommendations to support business decisions. Capital Raising, Corporate Finance & Investor Relations Lead all fundraising activities, including equity financing, SAFE agreements, venture debt, project financing, short-term financing, and IPO readiness. Manage funding rounds from preparation through closing. Lead financial modeling, valuation analyses, cap table management, investment scenarios, and due diligence processes. Prepare and maintain investor materials, including financial statements, presentations, and business cases. Lead and maintain the company's Virtual Data Room (VDR) for fundraising and due diligence activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, banks, financial institutions, venture capital funds, and strategic partners. Build and lead the company's Investor Relations (IR) function. Finance Leadership & Organizational Excellence Lead and oversee the company's global Finance organization, including Accounting, Controllership, FP&A, Budgeting, Costing, Treasury, Taxation, Cash Management, and Financial Reporting. Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable financial processes, policies, governance, and internal controls. Maintain a hands-on leadership approach, with the ability to dive into details, understand business processes, and build strong financial infrastructure from the ground up. Drive finance transformation by leveraging AI technologies, automation, and digital tools to improve reporting, forecasting, planning, operational efficiency, and decision-making. Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement and innovation. Financial Planning & Performance Own the corporate financial model, budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, cash flow management, and resource allocation. Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance. Identify financial risks and opportunities and support strategic growth initiatives. Conduct profitability, pricing, cost, and business performance analyses. Recommend cost optimization initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Accounting, Treasury, Governance & Compliance Ensure full compliance with US GAAP and all applicable financial regulations. Lead annual audits and quarterly financial reviews with external auditors. Define accounting policies and maintain best-in-class corporate governance. Establish and oversee financial and operational controls across cash management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, revenue recognition, inventory management, fixed assets, subsidiary controls, ITGC, and SOX compliance. Lead tax planning, tax optimization, transfer pricing, and regulatory compliance. Manage treasury operations, banking facilities, banking relationships, liquidity planning, cash flow management, fund management, multi-currency operations, and hedging activities. Initiate and execute financing instruments with financial institutions to support the company's growth. Lead Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and corporate risk assessments. Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools. Ensure compliance with all applicable financial reporting standards and regulatory authorities. Board, Legal & Corporate Governance Prepare and present financial reports and strategic materials for Board of Directors and shareholder meetings. Manage Board agendas, meeting materials, presentations, and minutes. Partner with external legal counsel on commercial agreements, financing transactions, labor matters, and corporate governance. Maintain the company's Virtual Data Room (VDR) to support governance, fundraising, and due diligence activities. Lead the financial aspects of government grant applications and incentive programs. Manage all periodic reporting requirements related to government grants. Manage the company's ESOP program, including trustee relationships, valuations, option pricing, and compliance with applicable tax regulations, including Section 409A. Lead the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities. Evaluate investment opportunities and strategic business cases Requirements: 10+ years of executive finance leadership experience, including proven experience as a CFO in a global high-tech company – Must. Proven experience building, leading, and developing high-performing Finance organizations, including establishing scalable processes, governance frameworks, internal controls, and financial infrastructure. Proven track record in capital raising, including equity financing, SAFE agreements, venture debt, project financing, IPO readiness, investor relations, and due diligence processes. Strong experience building and managing relationships with investors, venture capital funds, banks, financial institutions, and strategic partners. Experience with mergers & acquisitions (M&A), corporate development, strategic partnerships, and investment evaluations. Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting (AOP), long-term planning (LTP), forecasting, cash flow management, business performance management, KPI development, and executive dashboards. Proven experience preparing and presenting financial reports, business reviews, and strategic recommendations to CEOs. Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing ERP systems, financial systems, reporting tools, AI-enabled finance solutions, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. Experience managing international finance operations, global subsidiaries, multi-currency environments, and regulatory compliance. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving capabilities. Ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization. Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and leveraging technology to improve business performance. Experience in manufacturing and/or industrial operations, including lean methodologies- Advantage. CPA and bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance. Masters/MBA preferred. Fluent in English (written and spoken) – Must. Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
