Job description We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Payroll to lead and manage our global payroll operations. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processes for approximately 500 employees across the US, UK, and Israel. The ideal candidate will ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while leading a team and driving continuous process improvements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead, manage, and develop the payroll team, fostering a high-performance culture Oversee full-cycle payroll processing across the US, UK, and Israel (~500 employees) Ensure timely and accurate payroll execution in compliance with local laws and regulations Manage relationships with external payroll vendors and service providers Review and approve payroll reports, reconciliations, and journal entries Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and reporting requirements in all regions Partner closely with HR on payroll-related matters, including month-end close and reporting Support internal and external audits related to payroll Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems, and controls Drive automation and standardization across global payroll operations Requirements 10+ years of payroll experience, including global payroll responsibility 5+ years of experience managing and leading a team Strong knowledge of payroll regulations in the US, UK, and Israel Experience working with global payroll systems and third-party providers High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Experience in a multinational or high-growth company Familiarity with payroll systems such as Hilan and Sequoia.
