Founding Engineer

We’re hiring a Founding Engineer. This is a high-impact, architect-level role where you will be the first engineering hire and design and build the core technical foundation of a new platform from the ground up. Expect a fast-moving environment, high ownership, and a lot of autonomy across architecture, infrastructure, integrations, and backend systems. ABOUT THE ROLE Your Impact Architect and implement core systems: cloud infrastructure, backend services, APIs, and data pipelines Build secure, scalable, and reliable components ready for real-world operational environments Lead integrations with external systems and support early data onboarding Establish engineering standards, tooling, documentation, and technical processes from the start Set up observability, monitoring, and performance systems Jump in wherever needed, from quick scripts and data cleaning to debugging production issues Requirements: 6 years of engineering experience with strong architecture / complex backend systems experience Deep hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, distributed systems, and backend / full-stack development Strong foundation in system design, APIs, secure infrastructure, and data flows Proven ability to build products or platforms from 0 → 1 Clear communication, strong judgment, and the ability to explain technical decisions Collaborative working style, high ownership, and the ability to execute independently in a fast-moving environment
