Job Description Team you will be part of Optics NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer, responsible for providing DWDM network configuration, integration, migration and maintenance services for Nokia's Optics product suites How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn What you will learn and contribute to Optics NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer, responsible for providing DWDM network configuration, integration, migration and maintenance services for Nokia's Optics product suites Lead and execute complex deployment and integration projects in the relevant domain Provide technical support including troubleshooting and on-call services Contribute to presales activities, including leading PoC (Proof of Concept) & trials Participate or lead network design activities Supporting mainly local customer in the Israeli market Technical Skills KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience delivering professional services including network engineering, implementation, testing and customer support (remote and onsite if required) Strong knowledge of DWDM and SDH Networking, Optics network’s Planning tools, knowledge with PTPIOC, DWDM protection schemes, FlexGrid networks, ROADMs topologies, encryption solutions. Hands-on experience including building, deploying, troubleshooting & fault-finding Advantage - specific knowledge of Nokia solutions and products (e.g. PSS1830, Wave suite) Advantage - other vendors expertise (e.g. Ciena/Ribbon product lines) and knowledge with optics test equipments Advanced WDM training/certifications (Nokia ONC or similar certifications ) Preferred experience - Linux knowledge, basic scripting capabilities (Python etc.), RESTful API integration, knowledge with Automation tools and AI. Social Skills Proven record in customer facing activities/communication Excellent personal relationship – ability to cooperate within the team and with customers/partners Eager independent learner, willing to invest in continuous learning Fluent in English - written and verbal communication About Us Advancing connectivity to secure a brighter world.
