You will build prototypes, analyze performance, document findings, and present results in a collaborative setting. This role suits creative problem-solvers who want to make an impact through technology. Job Responsibilities/Results * Support the development, implementation, and performance analysis of audio and speech signal processing algorithms for hearing devices, with a focus on ML and DNN-based approaches * Testing and optimization of both traditional and ML algorithms in simulation and with real recordings * Development of testing procedures and analysis tools for audio and speech signal processing algorithms for hearing devices * Optimization of real-time algorithm performance under computational, latency, and hardware constraints * Documentation of experiments, preparation of technical reports, and presentation of results Job Requirements Education * Undergraduate, Master’s and/or PhD student in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field, with an acceptable GPA * Master's and PhDs preferred Experience * This is an entry level position - any hands on algorithm work is an advantage Knowledge / Technical Requirements * Solid understanding of algorithms and signal processing, from basic to advanced levels * Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB * Familiarity with audio and/or speech processing– an advantage * Experience working with machine learning development environments and/or deep neural networks (ML / DNN) for audio applications – an advantage Competencies, Skills & Abilities * Ability to learn independently and investigate complex problems * Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills * Attention to detail, technological curiosity, and ability to work effectively in a team Employment Terms * Hourly position * Flexible and hybrid work schedule, 2-3 days/week THE ABOVE DECLARATIONS ARE NOT INTENDED TO BE AN ALL-INCLUSIVE LIST OF THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB DESCRIBED, NOR ARE THEY INTENDED TO BE SUCH A LISTING OF THE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB.
