Electro-Mechanical Actuators Department Manager Location: Be'er Ya'akov About the Role We are seeking a visionary and experienced leader to join our team as the Electro-Mechanical Actuators Department Manager . In this role, you will lead a talented team of engineers, drive innovative mechanism design, and oversee complex, multidisciplinary projects from concept to execution. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Manage and develop a department of approximately 5 employees, including direct management, professional development, task prioritization, performance reviews, and team leadership. Mechanism Design: Lead the design and development of cutting-edge electro-mechanical mechanisms. Engineering Oversight: Provide engineering guidance, control, and review for mechanical designs. Design Reviews: Lead design reviews (DRs) and define testing and experimental requirements. Requirement Definition: Define mechanical requirements and system specifications. Vendor & Spec Management: Write technical specifications and manage technical interfaces with subcontractors. Timeline Management: Manage schedules and ensure the department meets its milestones and strategic goals. Requirements: Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory . M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering – An advantage . Leadership Experience: At least 3 years of experience in direct people management – Mandatory . R&D Experience: At least 7 years of experience in mechanical development and design – Mandatory . Domain Expertise: At least 2 years of experience specifically in the development and design of electro-mechanical actuators/mechanisms – Mandatory . Systems Engineering: Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary system design – Mandatory . Vendor Management: Ability to write requirements specifications and provide technical management for subcontractors – Mandatory . Group Management: Experience managing a mechanical design group – An advantage . Key Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to motivate and lead people.
