תיאור המשרה

Description We're building a new kind of observability platform — one that developers actually want to use. groundcover is a fast-growing B2D company set to reinvent the way developers monitor their cloud-native applications and impact their organization's scale. We help teams by providing them with the insights they need to troubleshoot better and faster when trouble hits. We believe that even the most complex systems can have a flawless and amazing user journey. As the heart of groundcover is our sensor - an eBPF - powered agent that runs inside our customers' clusters and captures rich telemetry with near-zero overhead. The Sensor team owns this critical piece of the product: the code that runs closest to the data, on every node, in every customer environment. We’re looking for a Low-Level Developer to join the team - someone who loves working close to the kernel, cares deeply about performance, and wants their code measured in nanoseconds and bytes. What You'll Do: Design and build the in-cluster sensor that powers groundcover's observability platform Write low-overhead, high-performance instrumentation using eBPF and Go Tackle hard problems in Linux internals, networking, and protocol parsing Push the boundaries of what can be observed without modifying customer code Ensure the sensor runs reliably across a huge variety of kernels, distros, and Kubernetes setups Collaborate with backend, infrastructure, and product teams to ship features end to end Requirements 5+ years of systems or backend engineering experience, with strong Go skills Solid grounding in operating system internals or low-level programming (C/C++/Rust, kernel, syscalls, memory management) Deep understanding of Linux networking, syscalls, and process/container isolation Familiarity with cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, containers, CRI/CNI) A performance mindset- you think about cache lines, allocations, and tail latency Care about clean, maintainable, well-architected code Love working on developer-first products and want your work to have real impact Bonus Points Hands-on experience with eBPF or other kernel instrumentation frameworks Background in protocol parsing, packet processing, or network observability Contributions to open-source systems or infrastructure projects Why groundcover? We're developers building for developers. You'll have real ownership over your work. We care about the craft, not just the speed.

על groundcover

At groundcover, we’re redefining observability with a BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) model that gives you full data ownership, total visibility, and zero compromise. Get 10x more telemetry for a fraction of the cost, all securely managed inside your own cloud. From infrastructure to applications to LLMs, groundcover delivers full-stack observability—no code changes, no sampling, no surprises. Deployed in minutes, powered by eBPF, and built for scale, it’s observability that just works—private, predictable, and limitless.
