Description What we are looking for: Nova is seeking a hands-on physicist to join the CTO/New Technologies group and drive the exploration, validation, and development of emerging metrology technologies. The role combines early-stage technology scouting, concept validation, optical experimentation, and development of novel measurement approaches. As a New-Tech Physicist, you will lead and execute concept and feasibility studies, working both independently and in close collaboration with internal teams and external partners. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying, evaluating, and integrating emerging technologies that will shape Nova’s innovation roadmap and future product portfolio. Role Responsibilities What will you be doing: Lead concept and feasibility studies for new technologies. Design and build advanced optical laboratory setups. Perform hands-on experiments, simulations, and data analysis. Develop algorithms using Python and/or MATLAB. Scout emerging technologies and industry needs. Collaborate with internal and external partners. Influence Nova technology roadmap. Requirements Requirements: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Physics or related engineering discipline. Strong hands-on optical laboratory experience. Experience designing and optimizing experimental systems. Strong programming and data analysis skills. Knowledge of signal processing and scientific problem solving. Ability to independently design and execute experiments. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
