R&D Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Mechanical Engineer, with a hands-on approach, to join our R&D team. The role involves the research and development of robotic mechanisms incorporating motors, gears and sensors, from concept to mass production. Responsibilities: Design and develop complex robotic mechanisms and assemblies from concept through production. Lead mechanical development activities across the full product lifecycle, including concept generation, detailed design, prototyping, drawing release, manufacturing support, integration and verification. Define and execute test and validation methodologies to confirm design performance and compliance with engineering requirements. Generate and maintain high-quality engineering documentation, including requirements, calculations, design reviews, protocols, reports, and change orders. Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including systems engineering, software, electronics, manufacturing, quality, and operations. Manage technical interactions with suppliers and support component sourcing, qualification, and manufacturability activities. Requirements: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5+ years of experience in robotics/automation field. Demonstrated experience in the design of robotic mechanisms incorporating motors, sensors, bearing systems, and high-precision components. Experience in medical device development — advantage. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, including complex assemblies and detailed drawings. Experience performing finite element analysis (FEA). Experience working with PLM systems and ECO/ECN processes. Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles — advantage. Strong technical problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic development environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and execution. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Independent learner with a proactive mindset. Fluent in Hebrew and English.
