Senior Automation Engineer

The Role We’re looking for a sharp and experienced Senior QA Engineer to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of Cross River’s most critical system - COS . In this role, you’ll be embedded in a fast-paced product team, designing and executing manual and automated test plans that cover everything from backend APIs to customer-facing applications. You’ll take ownership of quality from day one - helping build a scalable testing culture, mentoring junior engineers, and working closely with developers and product managers to catch issues before they hit production. Who You Are Obsessed with quality and passionate about preventing bugs, not just finding them A team player who thrives in cross-functional environments Analytical and curious - you ask the right questions and dig deep Detail-oriented but also see the bigger picture Proactive, resourceful, and always looking to improve how things are done What You’ll Actually Be Doing Own QA strategy and execution for your squad - both manual and automated testing Design comprehensive test plans and maintain detailed, reproducible test cases Develop and expand automated test suites for APIs, web apps, and backend systems Work closely with Developers, Product, and DevOps to shift-left and integrate testing early Track, triage, and follow through on bugs with clarity and urgency Help build a culture of quality through documentation, metrics, and knowledge sharing Requirements What You Bring to the Table Fluent in English and Hebrew - written and verbal 5+ years of hands-on QA experience in complex software environments Proven experience writing automated tests in tools like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar Strong understanding of QA methodologies, CI/CD, and SDLC best practices Experience testing APIs (Postman, REST, GraphQL) and backend systems Familiarity with modern QA frameworks and version control systems (Git) Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in distributed teams Why You’ll Love Working Here Flexible hybrid model: 3 days a week in the office – A must ₪1,000 net monthly wellness benefit – from therapy to Pilates to your kid’s art class Full Keren Hishtalmut, private health & dental insurance Donation matching, volunteering days, team outings, and mentorship programs A mission-driven culture that values ownership, trust, and meaningful impact Next Step Hit apply!
