Welcome to the future of cloud networking and security!
Cato Networks is the first company to converge enterprise networking and
security into one centralized and global service that is delivered by cloud. It
is led by networking and security pioneer Shlomo Kramer (Check Point, Imperva)
and early investor (Palo Alto Networks, Exabeam, Trusteer and more). Cato’s
unique technology inspired a brand-new product category, later named “SASE” by
Gartner and a market expected to reach $28.5 billion by 2028.
This is your opportunity to get on the rocket ship and join a company that is
building a cutting-edge enterprise network and secure cloud platform, and is on
a fast track to becoming the worldwide market leader – don’t miss it!
We’re looking for a visionary Senior System QA Networking to join our Automation
teams. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for the design,
implementation and maintenance of Automated tests using our Java-based
framework. Our Automated tests cover various aspects of the product, including
complex networking topology, traffic, security rules, and user's authentication
scenarios.
Responsibilities:
* Own end-to-end troubleshooting of complex issues across networking, Linux OS,
and distributed systems; drive root cause analysis and prevention.
* Lead scale and robustness initiatives: capacity planning inputs, performance
tuning, latency/packet-loss reduction, resiliency improvements.
* Design and build automation and tooling for infrastructure validation,
provisioning, diagnostics, and continuous verification.
* Define, set up, and maintain production-like lab environments (servers,
switches, virtualized/cloud environments).
* Hands-on configuration and maintenance of servers and switches
(VLAN/LACP/STP).
* Collaborate with multiple interfaces (R&D/SRE/IT/Sec/Product) and lead
projects independently from design to delivery, including documentation.
Requirements:
* 4+ years in a role that includes hands-on networking + Linux troubleshooting
in complex environments (production/lab).
* Deep knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (L2–L7), including
routing (e.g., BGP/OSPF) – practical troubleshooting level.
* Strong hands-on Linux experience, including debugging with
journalctl/systemd, tcpdump, iproute2, etc.
* Strong Bash/Linux scripting skills, ability to develop automation tools and
reusable scripting libraries for debugging, infrastructure validation, and
operational workflows.
* Proven ability to lead tasks/projects independently; excellent communication
in cross-functional environments.
Advantages:
* Hands-on experience configuring switches/routers.
* Hands-on experience with Java and OOP/OOD principles; ability to design and
develop internal tools and reusable libraries.
* Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana) and
incident/postmortem processes.
* Experience with automation frameworks (Ansible/Terraform), CI/CD, and cloud
(AWS/Azure).
