Senior Backend Engineer (ML/CV)

About Conntour Conntour is a defense-tech startup backed by YC, General Catalyst, and SV Angel. We’re building a video intelligence platform for security cameras - targeting government agencies (intelligence, military, police and more). We already work with some of the world’s top government agencies, and we are at the early stages of scaling. What We’re Looking For 4 + years backend or systems engineering in production environments. Deep knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and databases. Production proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability stacks. Comfort with pub/sub architectures (Kafka, MQTT). Experience designing and operating AI inference services at scale (Triton, TensorRT, ONNX Runtime) across distributed GPU clusters. Experience with computer‑vision/AI model serving, on‑prem/edge deployments, or security‑sensitive/government environments. Computer Science degree Expertise in Python Big Bonuses Hands‑on experience integrating LLMs (RAG, agents). Knowledge of stream‑processing for high‑volume video data. Expertise in Go, Rust, or C++.
